It’s cold outside, that’s for sure! And it’s the perfect weather to get out and do some ice skating! Starting Thursday, Court Square Park, located on Cherry Street across from the Phillips County Courthouse, in historic Helena will feature an outdoor acrylic ice rink. “Helena on Ice” offers a great opportunity to create new holiday memories for all ages. Enjoy a cup of steaming hot cocoa as you wait to take the ice. Visit with Santa and tell him just how good you were this year. Listen to the sounds of the holiday season as you glide along the ice.

“Helena on Ice” is scheduled for Dec. 9-12. Hours are Thursday, Dec. 9, are 5-9 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 10, 5-10 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 11, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 12, 1-5 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person. Children under five are admitted free with a paying adult. Log on to or phone 870-338-9144 for more information.
