The reigning American Idol, Arkansas’s own Kris Allen, headlines Saline Summer Daze May 28-30. The festival opens at 3 p.m. on Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Carnival rides, food concessions and entertainment are all part of the action. In addition, the Wally Hall Tournament of Champions featuring softball, baseball and fast-pitch games is also taking place.
The gates open at 3 p.m. for Saturday’s open air concert with entertainment beginning at 4:30 p.m. Performers include headliner Kris Allen, the all-Arkansas groups RiverBilly and Crash Meadows, and Dry County. General admission tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate. A limited number of VIP tickets at $50 are available. Saline Summer Daze takes place at Watts Field, 401 Airlane Drive in Benton. Take Exit 116 off Interstate 30.
