State Parks in the Arkansas Delta Offer Upcoming Adventure Camps

If you’re looking for something fun and educational for the kids to do while they’re out of school, check out these upcoming day camps!

Village Creek State Park in Wynne offers an Adventure Day Camp on June 21-23. The three-day camp, for children ages 10-12, consists of educational programs, crafts, games, and recreational activities. Topics include the history of the Memphis to Little Rock road and its use during the Indian Removal, along with the natural world of Crowley’s Ridge. The $75 fee includes all lunches, snacks, materials, and equipment use. Class is limited and registration is required. Contact the park at 870-238-9406.

Lake Frierson State Park in Jonesboro offers an Adventure Day Camp on June 22-24. The camp is an opportunity for youngsters interested in learning more about pioneers, Native Americans, and the natural world around them. The three-day experience includes a variety of educational programs, games, horseback riding, boating, crafts, swimming, and recreational activities.
