Music takes center stage in Batesville on Friday evening, March 4, as the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) hosts the 3rd annual Friends in Great Places concert. Headlining this year is Ramona Jones and the Jones Family Band. WRD Entertainment is the sponsor of the event.

Ramona Jones, wife of the late Grandpa Jones, has been singing and playing music since she was a child. The Jones Family Band includes Ramona’s son, Mark; daughter Alisa; and son-in-law Ron Wall.

Also scheduled to perform are the Cobb Brothers of Mountain View. Other featured musicians for this year’s event include Tim Crouch, Gary Rounds, and Brad and Brandon Apple. This year’s concert promises a variety of acoustic music, ranging from folk to bluegrass to contemporary to gospel. The evening will end with a square dance demonstration.

Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will benefit UACCB’s new nursing and allied health building. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. All of the performers will have CDs available for purchase. Tickets are available at the Batesville Daily Guard, Citizens Bank, Centennial Bank of Mountain View, First Community Bank, Liberty Bank and WRD Entertainment.
