This Weekend in the Arkansas Delta: “Spooky” Edition

Halloween is upon us and there are special events this weekend throughout the Arkansas Delta for “goblins” of all ages!

It’s the 10th annual Boo on the Bayou at the Delta River Nature Center in Pine Bluff on Oct. 26-27. Participants will enjoy an outdoor Halloween Carnival, complete with games, activities and candy, and…for those brave enough, there’s a ½ mile haunted trail!

Spend the evening hearing spooky stories as Crowley’s Ridge State Park in Paragould hosts Ghosts, Legends, and the Unexplained on Oct. 27. Learn more about local legends and listen to eerie ghost stories. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween garb and awards will be given for the best costumes. Little ghosts and goblins take over Cane Creek State Park in Star City as the park hosts the annual Ghost Roast on Oct. 27. One of the park’s most popular events, Ghost Roast offers trick-or-treating, hayrides, carnival games, a costume contest, and a haunted house. Enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun as Village Creek State Park in Wynne hosts Trick or Treat at the Park on Oct. 27. The hot air balloons will be back, weather permitting, to light up the night sky. There will be educational activities as well as candy throughout the campground.
