The natural wonders of The Natural State
Welcome to September! It’s the month when temperatures begin to cool and leaves begin to turn.
It’s also one of the best times to get out and explore The Natural State. Make plans to hike or bike in the great outdoors. Skeet or trap shoot at one of the many firing ranges across the state. Head to a natural area or state park and observe nature – and be on the lookout for some of our late summer/early fall “visitors” like the stunning Summer Tanager or the colorful Blue Grosbeak.
Just because it’s September doesn’t mean it’s too late to get out on the water – plan fishing or boating excursions. Hunt on public lands. Or simply get out for a picnic with friends and family. September is a fabulous time to do all of that … and more!
