Hunting & Fishing
Stuttgart
Known as the duck and rice capital of the world, Stuttgart is surrounded by the Arkansas Grand Prairie where the commercial production of rice was pioneered in 1904. Rice fields and irrigation reservoirs entice the annual migration of ducks and geese on the Mississippi Flyway to linger, making the area nationally renowned among waterfowl hunters.
Kings River
High in the mountains of Madison County lie the beginnings of the Kings River. From this steep country the stream twists its way northward to the White River and finally flows into southern Missouri's Table Rock Lake, a distance of approximately 90 miles.
Lake Ouachita State Park
Arkansas’s largest lake, Lake Ouachita offers 40,000 acres of clear, clean water surrounded by the scenic Ouachita National Forest. Swimming, skiing, scuba diving, boating, kayaking, and fishing are enjoyed here. Bream, crappie, catfish, striped bass, and largemouth bass can be caught in open waters or quiet coves.
White River
Famous for its world-class trout fishing, Bull Shoals–White River State Park lies along the shores of both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. Its state-of-the-art visitor exhibit hall and theater share the history of the area and tell the fishing stories from these waters.
Lake Greeson
Lake Greeson is a man-made lake that is 12 miles long and is surrounded by 15,842 acres of public lands. The wide variety of recreational opportunities available on and near the lake include boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, and camping.
