2017 Arkansas Science Festival: Mindfulness Through Body Awareness
This workshop teaches you how to relax and tame your busy mind by keeping it in the “here and now” through connecting to your body. During the first hour we will alternate explanations and discussions with short easy exercises, for example, counting your breath or tensing and relaxing muscles. The exercises are conducted as you sit in a chair. Comfortable clothing is recommended. If you desire to increase the awareness of your breathing with the help of a biofeedback device and you can stay after the first hour, we will instruct you in the use of Inner Balance by HeartMath Institute. Workshop is offered twice: first from 5:30-7 p.m. and again from 7-8:30 p.m.
