2nd Annual Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous

Have you ever wondered how our hearty pioneer forefathers survived as they blazed new frontiers across the West and settled among the native peoples of Arkansas? Have you daydreamed about living the life of a trapper in the early 1800s? The 2nd Annual Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous is the place for you to seek answers to your questions. Reenactors will be camped behind the Killebrew House in the beautiful Ozarks. There is no camp fee and early set up is Oct 8–10 with breakdown on Oct 13. The reenactors will be wearing pre-1840 period clothing. The Rendezvous will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Expect knife and tomahawk throwing and shooting demonstrations. Private, public and home-schooled students are invited to attend on Friday. Vendors will be in the camp, so please bring spending money! See history come alive! Sponsored by the Leslie Area Merchants Association and the Early Arkansaw Reenactors Association.
