Arkansas Boaters Education

Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1986, and of legal age to operate a motorboat or sailboat, must have successfully completed an approved AGFC Boating Education Course and carry proof while operating a motorboat or sailboat on Arkansas water. The course is designed to teach the fundamentals of safe boating necessary to reduce loss of life, personal injury, and property damage while increasing the boating enjoyment for outdoor enthusiasts. The Arkansas Boating Education Course teaches the fundamentals of safe and responsible boating. The basic 6-hour boating course includes; Arkansas Boating Law, Boat Classification, Registration and Trailering, Personal Flotation Devices (Life Jackets), Rules of the Road, Maintenance, and Boating Accidents. May 18th at the James A. Gastons Center in Bull Shoals from 10 am until 4 pm. You must attend all class sessions to complete the course. The course is FREE and is open to the public.
