Art Exhibit-Mixing It Up
Linda Shearer, Joyce Weaver, and Sheliah Halderman show their artwork.
Linda Shearer’s paintings include traditional and contemporary scenes of misty mountains, waterfalls, peaceful rivers and vibrant flowers and birds. She uses a variety of rice papers and her paintings encourage the viewer to relate to the scene and sense the unique quality and beauty of nature.
Joyce Weaver works in watercolor and mixed media. Her favorite subjects include people, pets and still life, although her show contains several landscapes and some abstract art. She is a member of Brush Strokes and the Artists’ Workshop Gallery in Hot Springs, and has won several ribbons in competition.
Sheliah Halderman is mainly a pastel artist who primarily paints landscapes of Arkansas and from photos of her travels. She has also taught pastel classes and workshops through local art groups and at the National Park Community College.
