Christmas in Greenwood begins November 29 at Bell Park on North Main Street with the Focus on Greenwood Trail of Lights, 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Dozens of lighted displays adorn this 38-acre hilltop park. At sundown visitors drive through and tune their radios to FM 103.1 to hear holiday music and watch some lights dance to the music. Visitors are invited to park and walk through the Winter Wonderland or stroll through arched lights along the Promenade. Both provide fabulous photo opportunities. Kids can share cookies and cocoa with Santa on November 30. There will be S'mores and Hayrides on December 7. The beautifully decorated Wilkinson Pavilion, the Park's centerpiece, is open for photos on December 8, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce hosts a free Bean Feed December 9, at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Greenwood Christmas Parade at 7:00. Santa, and storytellers, can be found at his house on the town square December 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, 20, and 23, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Bell Park will host a Live Nativity December 10, 12, and 13, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m., which features a Petting Zoo. Santa's Workshop returns to Bell Park on December 14, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Great fun for the kids. Movie night features "The Grinch" December 20. Hayrides, hot cocoa and live music wrap up the live entertainment on December 21. Focus on Greenwood, a 501c3 charitable organization, accepts donations from visitors to the park. Proceeds are returned to Greenwood families in need. The Trail of Lights ends December 26.
