"Girl Scouts Love State Parks" Inaugural National Event

Today Girl Scouts of the USA are partnering with America’s State Parks on the first-ever National Girl Scouts Love State Parks event, for girls, families, and friends to experience the great outdoors, an integral part of the organization’s all-girl leadership program. Join thousands of girls in hundreds of state parks across the United States to find adventure, explore nature, and learn what Girl Scouts is all about. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to attend programs and activities that will help them meet the requirements for multiple badges: Daisies will work on Buddy Camper, Eco Learner, and Outdoor Art Maker; Brownies will work on Cabin Camper, Eco Friend, and Outdoor Art Creator; and Juniors will work on Camper, Eco Camper, and Outdoor Art Explorer. Activities include a Dutch oven campfire cooking demonstration, Leave No Trace program and hike, and a craft project. Registration is required by July 3 by signing up with the Girl Scouts Diamonds council online at Troops wishing to camp must reserve campsites separately by visiting
