What to know

Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs will present its sixteenth annual Holiday Lights event, starting Saturday, November 17 and running through New Year’s Eve (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days). Holiday Lights is an outdoor light experience like no other. Covering 18 acres of the 210-acre Garden, it is an incredible way to view the Garden in a whole new light, a celebration of the Garden spaces with light, as well as an exceptional way to build wonderful family traditions. Main features include the wrapped trees and natural Garden of the Pine Wind, the 50-foot musical animated Rose Tree, James the Train for kids, the Parterre Garden, the whimsical frozen area with ice dandelion meadow, Ice Palace and more, as well as beautiful Anthony Chapel with free concerts (check website HERE for events).

Operating Hours: Garden gates will open at 3 p.m. daily. Friday and Saturday nights are typically VERY crowded and visitors choosing to attend those nights in December should expect to wait a minimum of 1-2 hours to park and enter the Gardens. Garvan Gardens encourages visitors to plan to visit Holiday Lights on Sunday through Thursday nights if possible. To speed entry time once parked, tickets may be purchased in advance online at
