What to know
Theater of Horror is one of the most unique Halloween attractions in the country. It is part play, part movie and part haunted attraction all pulled together into one amazing Halloween Horror Show. This 60-minute horror show is produced by Bill Volland, a veteran in the television and motion picture industries, and scare-ologist John L. Burton, a 48-year veteran in the Halloween and haunted attraction businesses. Theater of Horror will feature a local cast of characters hosted and directed by local actress Kat Clayton and featuring three movie shorts, “Happy Birthday Mister Zombie,” “Alfred Hemlock” and “Howl of a Good Time.” Howl was filmed over four days at the Hot Springs Horror Film Festival as a workshop. Attendees to the festival were able to participate in the workshop and the filming which all took place at the Central Theater, Oct. 23-26, 2014, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The film was produced by Patrick Rea, Tamara Glynn and Bill Volland. Hanuman Brown-Eagle (Nailbiter) was the Director of Photography. Stars include Tamara Glynn, Leslie Easterbrook, and Renae Geerlings. The background story is that a serial killer once owned and operated the theater. Turns out this killer came from a circus family and had a thing for clowns. He was caught, tried, convicted and sentenced to death. Of course there were several appeals and while waiting on death row, he escaped... recently. Will he come back to his prized theater? Will he return to continue the murder massacre? Come see us this Halloween and find out for yourself. You may have to escape through the backstage bedlam but, remember! Don’t feed the clown!
