Atlatl Demonstration

Here is your chance to step back in time and explore how American Indians who lived near Delta Heritage Trail used atlatls for hunting. Join us as we explore how these ancient tools were made, different hunting techniques, and animals that were hunted for food, clothing, and other items of survival. Best of all, you will get a chance to try out one for yourself. Children are encouraged to attend but must be accompanied by an adult. Preregistration is not required and there is no charge for this program. All you need to do is come to the visitor center and be ready to learn this ancient skill.
