Craft Day for Kids
Delta Heritage Trail State Park
What to know
When hiking or biking Delta Heritage Trail you are very likely to encounter little round balls that come from the towering sweet gum trees growing along the trail. This is the chance for kids to see how these were turned into decorations by people during the period when Delta Heritage Trail was the route of steam engine trains. Join us at the Barton Visitor Center to learn how to make and decorate your own animal out of sweet gum balls like you might see out on the trail to take home. Preregistration is not required and there is no charge for this event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
