The 16th Annual Chili Cook-Off will begin at 4:30 p.m. on November 19 rain or shine at the Exchange Street parking deck in downtown Hot Springs. The event, hosted by the Downtown Association of Hot Springs, will use the raised funds to support the City’s Deck the Park Challenge during the holiday season. Ned Perme with KATV will be on hand to light the downtown Christmas lights during the event. The cost is $5 for all-you-can-eat chili. Arlington Lawn located in Hot Springs National Park celebrates the holidays with a stunning display of Christmas lights and holiday spirit starting on November 19. The most celebrated outdoor light display in Arkansas for the holiday season opens at Garvan Woodland Gardens the Saturday before Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Eve (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days). Note: Dogs are not allowed in the Gardens during Holiday Lights except during the Jingle Dogs Pup Parade on Monday, December 3.
