The 13th Beard + Mustache Contest returns to SoMa as part of SoMardi Gras on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Celebrate creativity, self-expression, and community at this crowd-favorite event during the Street Festival on Main. The contest begins at 1:30 p.m. at The Bernice Garden, following the New Orleans-style parade at noon. Categories include everything from best natural beard to DIY crafted beards for women and kids. Whether you're competing or cheering, it's a can't-miss SoMa tradition.
