Hillcrest Historic District
What to know
The area west of downtown along Markham Street and lower Kavanaugh Boulevard is known as the Hillcrest Historic District. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is one of the earliest residential areas of the city, featuring beautiful turn of the century homes and cottages dating back to the early part of the 20th century. Numerous restaurants, bars, galleries, specialty shops and more are available.
