The Buffalo Island Museum is located in the former First National Bank Building (later it was called Monette State Bank) built in 1918 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  Admission to the museum is free although donations are always appreciated to help with expenses.Exhibit areas include Doctor's Office, Kitchen, Beauty Shop, Farming, Hunting, Bedroom, Toys, Farming tools, Music, School Memorabilia, and a Reading Room.  Museum Hours: April and May:Saturdays 1-4; June through December Friday and Saturday 1-4 pm. Special tours by appointment. Closed during the winter.
