What to know

Looking for something relaxing to do after days of mining?

Come join Certified Forest Therapist Jennifer at the Crystal Garden for an experience of forest therapy.

Based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, forest therapy is a slow-paced, mindful, guided walk through a forest environment. Studies have shown many health benefits this modality offers such as lowered blood pressure, decreased stress, improved creativity and an increase in immunity.

Jennifer will lead you in this 2-3 hour interactive meditative stroll through the forested trails at the Crystal Garden. Jennifer has curated a session that has you interacting with our beautiful native forest to leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

The walk is geared towards adults with any mobility level.

Jennifer will start each experience with a Sensory Awareness Meditation that allows the participants to relax and be in the present moment for our time together.

Anyone can take a stroll through nature and feel it’s benefits, but there’s something to the training she’s received that really takes it to a whole different level that can only be understood by experiencing it.

Jennifer works in partnership with the beautiful permaculture site and visitor center the Crystal Garden near Mount Ida. This 15 acre property is nestled in the Ouachita Mountains. Conveniently located on the “Crystal Loop”, there are multiple crystal mines within a short drive from the property. The property features wooded paths that wind along a year-round flowing creek, fields that come alive with wildflowers through the spring and summer months and it is home to a large variety of wildlife. Parts of the property are being developed to include a permaculture food forest, organic gardens, and a living library of a variety of trees, herbs and plants. Inquire about bookings here:
