Eagle Watch Tour
Lake Ouachita State Park
What to know
Lake Ouachita provides remarkable habitat for wintering bald eagles. Each year, juvenile and mature eagles can be seen among the trees along the shoreline or flying high above the lake during our lake tours. Join a park interpreter for the opportunity to see these magnificent raptors up close and in the wild. We will also look for other type of migratory wildlife such as coots, grebes, cormorants, and loons that call Lake Ouachita home for the winter months. Be prepared, it is chillier and windier on the water than on land. Make sure to bring plenty of layers to stay warm. Don't forget to bring your camera and binoculars. Seating is limited. Reservations and payment can be taken at the visitor center or by calling (501) 767-9366. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early because the boat must depart on time. Be sure to bring your receipt with you when you board.
