This spring, retreat to the Ozarks for the Cowboy Music & Arts Festival at the Ozark Folk Center State Park in lovely Mountain View, Arkansas. Join the fun as the Folk Center celebrates the songs and stories of the American Cowboy during this two-day, family-friendly event featuring GRAMMY award-winning music, the region's finest artisans, gardens, and Southern style buffets at The Skillet Restaurant.
Cowboy Festival includes three memorable shows on Friday and Saturday at the Arkansas CMA's "VENUE of the Year", the Ozark Highlands Theater. Concerts will feature performances by Dom Flemons of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, cowboy songster and poet Andy Hedges, Pipp Gillette, Farmer & Adele, and a very special tribute to legendary local musician Glenn Ohrlin by veteran folksinger and the host of Ozark Highlands Radio, Dave Smith.

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is home to dozens of demonstrating artists and 20 artisan shops in the park's nationally-renowned Craft Village which will be open for you to explore and shop throughout the weekend. During your visit, stop by the upper level of the Village to see a concert at the Blacksmith Stage featuring traditional American songs and southern mountain music performed by the region's finest folk musicians.
If immersing yourself in nature is more your style, set aside time to discover the Heritage Herb Garden, located throughout the Craft Village, where pass-along plants, flowers, and herbs for healing will be in full display during the springtime. For families with children, be sure to visit by the park's animal-powered picnic swing for a ride with Whiskey (or Tango) the Donkey and experience the historic Shannon Cabin and one-room schoolhouse to imagine pioneer life in the Ozarks.
