Our annual Thumbpicking Weekend and Tribute to Merle Travis kicks off with two phenomenal pickers. Doyle Dykes was influenced by a wide variety of musical styles and musicians from the country of Chet Atkins to the rock and roll of Duane Eddy and the Beatles. Doyle has developed a distinct, recognizable sound that amazes audiences with skill while capturing hearts with sincerity and soul.
Batesville, Arkansas native Danny Dozier is a multiple Arkansas State Thumbpicking Champion and crafty veteran of the Ozark Music Scene. In addition to his solo work and performances, Danny is a member of the Lockhouse Orchestra in Batesville and performs at the Ozark Folk Center with The Leatherwoods. Danny was a member of the legendary Grandpa Jones Band.
Evening show tickets are $12. Doors open for evening shows at 6 p.m. with local musicians opening the concert at 7 p.m. Buy your TICKETS here.
