Paper Flowers - Camelia Making Class
What to know
Taught by Jamie Blakely
What better way to take your enjoyment of flowers to the next level than to learn to make them out of paper. Paper flowers never need water and they never wilt. In this class you will study the structure of a Camellia and make your own just like the ones in the garden.
This class requires some manual dexterity. If you wear reading glasses, please bring them. Dress in layers or bring a jacket as the classroom is sometimes chilly.
Total Class Cost $117, Registration fee of $22 paid when you sign up, $70 class fee and $25 materials fee ($95) due to the instructor at the beginning of class.

Meet your instructor, Jamie Blakely
As a child, Jamie learned to make the paper flowers of the 1960's. She continued to make them in college as props for college theater performances. Now, studying the flowers in the Heritage Herb Garden at the Ozark Folk Center State Park, nature is giving her the best lessons of all.
Jamie Blakely opened her Rock, Paper, Scissors shop in the Ozark Folk Center Craft Village in 2021, but she is not new to working with paper. She has a deep love for this craft and is happy to be sharing it with you.
Jamie holds a BA in Art and a BSE in Elementary Education. She spent most of her adult life as an educator in the museum field.
