The Christmas spirit is alive in Newport! Schedule a stop by the display at the historic Jackson County Courthouse, check out 125 pre-lit Christmas trees throughout the city, and make plans to attend the annual Newport Christmas Parade on December 10 at 6:00 p.m. on Malcolm Avenue. Social distancing and masks required please. In downtown Newport, swing by the Front Street Park and Veterans Memorial at Front and Hazel Streets for seven giant Nutcracker soldiers, a 21-foot Christmas tree, lighted soldier memorial display and seven-piece soldier band. Don’t forget to visit the Farmers Market area at Newport Lake with the ever-expanding drive-through display and newly re-decorated White River Monster. Wrap up your trip at the home of Dr. Patti Mullins, who has the largest private outdoor Christmas display in the region that is a sight to behold. Located at 4 Sue Circle.
