Trail of Tears

What to know

Seven interpretative panels commemorate the Cherokee Trail of Tears and similarly forced migrations by the other Four Civilized Tribes. This is located in the immediate vicinity of a large number of north-south migration routes and east-west water migration routes for the Cherokee and other southeastern tribes during the 1830s and 1840s. Free and open to the public, located on the Arkansas River Trail.
