Lake Ouachita Vista Trail -- Hickory Nut Mountain

The trail follows the south side of the mountain along the top of a large rock bluff before dropping onto an old logging road that parallels Hickory Nut Creek. This portion of the trail offers beautiful views of the valley south of the mountain as well as multiple waterfalls and cascades all along the creek. The trail termination and take out spot is at the junction of FS Roads 47 and 47A. Named an Epic Ride by IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) in 2014.
