What to know

Fox Pass Retreat is a Serene Place to Stay while visiting Arkansas, U.S.A. We have 41 acres: 31 acres of heavily forested land and about 11 acres which was previously cleared and which allow magnificent views of the night sky, the solar eclipse, the sunsets...
On site are family oriented activities such as horseshoes - corn hole - rope swing - hammock chairs - community fire ring* (when weather and burn bans allow) - coffee from 7 - 10 am daily and more. Fresh Drinking Water is always available as are breakfast and lunch options*. We have some easy hiking trails and some steeper walks, Some of these same trails are occasionally used by ATV or Dirt Motorcycle visitors. A kiddy's outdoor playhouse is under construction at this time. The bath house contains 2 toilets, urinal, hot water sink and shower. Bath house use is included with any and all stays. Towels are furnished for Tree House Guests.

On that note: Motorcyclists ! Bikers! 4 Wheelers ! take note: Fox Pass is centrally located between many scenic paved highways and uncountable off pavement opportunities and is biker-friendly. The owners are avid motorcyclists. There is a paved road to the top of Mt. Magazine which you can get to with a 10 min. drive/ride towards Paris, AR from here. Even closer, it's only 2 miles down to Driggs, AR where dirt riders & ATV folks can pick up dirt and gravel roads all the way to the top of Mt. Magazine, Arkansas' tallest Mountain. Great Views Up There! Fox Pass is located only 8 miles from Hwy 23, which is locally referred to as the 'Pig Trail Hwy' going North out of Ozark up to Eureka Springs. It's about 70 miles of twisties, some slow and tight as 10 mph but there's also plenty of 'sweepers' too! It's a beautiful day ride up and back. Be sure to stop at Turners Bend for a break where you'll likely meet other riders, and in Huntsville at Granny's Kitchen for lunch. Eureka Springs offers many activities including zip lines, artisan and craft stores and dining options.

Fox Pass is located in a rural area of the Ozarks Range. Though it's generally quiet around here - there is much adventure to be had all around Fox Pass Retreat. You can head out by day for your adventures, including numerous nearby state parks, fishing opportunities and swimming holes, hiking and biking opportunities and then return for a quiet evening around the fire pit, sleep peacefully in one of our tent sites or in the Tree House.
Over 80 different Bird Species (and counting) have been identified at Fox Pass, some rare birds included. On any given day/night and if you're quiet - you might see deer, red and/or gray fox, racoons, turtles, armadillos, road runners, wild turkeys and other wildlife while hiking around the property.
