Orionid Meteor Shower Viewing
Mount Magazine State Park
What to know
From
late October through part of November, meteor showers can sometimes be viewed
in the foreground of the Orion constellation. These are remnants of Halley’s comet, which passes through our inner
solar system every 76 years. Take advantage of Mount Magazine’s dark skies and
try to spot some meteors alongside a park interpreter! Join a park interpreter
at Cameron Bluff Overlook, and feel free to bring binoculars, telescopes, and
lawn chairs to this fun program.
