1st Friday Crafts - Native American Games

Join us on the 1st Fridays of June, July, and August to explore American Indian crafts. In June, we will make two American Indian games, one based on skill and one on chance. The ring and pin game challenges players to use a stick to capture a connected hoop. Meanwhile, games of chance made from decorated sticks will test a player’s luck. Variations of these games were played by many tribes throughout the Southeastern United States as a way of helping youth learn skills. All materials are provided. 

 Reservations are required, as space is limited.
