Tinker Time for Kids: Birds of the Oil Field
Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources
What to know
At the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources, we offer a variety of hands-on activities that explore local history and nature. February is bird month at the museum. Discover with a park interpreter the many different kinds of birds that call the Oil Park home during the wintertime. As we learn fun facts about birds, we will uncover the story of the 1920s oil boom and how the rush to find black gold impacted local wildlife. Then make your own bird craft using materials found in the park. Please contact the museum at (870) 725-2877 to reserve a place in the program. Covid-19 guidelines will be in effect for guest and staff safety. Space may be limited.
