Tinker Time: Toys of the 1920s

Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources

What to know

How was daily life during the 1920s oil boom similar to, but also different from life today in 2021? The discovery of oil in south Arkansas brought more wealth and new businesses to the region. People purchased many of the new factory-made products that debuted during the decade, but the tradition of homemade toys continued. Discover some of the popular toys of the 1920s oil boom, as you design your own toy made from recycled and other materials. Due to limited space, registration is required for this program. Please contact the museum at (870) 725-2877 to reserve a place. In the event of inclement weather, the program may be rescheduled, or the details of the program may change. This program is designed for children ages 8 years of age to 12 years of age but is open to visitors of all ages. COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES ARE IN EFFECT FOR GUEST AND STAFF SAFETY.
