Wineries, breweries, distilleries, OH MY!
Arkansas has a rich history with spirits, some dating back as far as the state. Most notably, vineyards such as Wiederkehr Wine Cellars and Post Winery, established in the late 1800s. The Arkansas River Valley provides our state with many types of wines, primarily Muscadine, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon.
For the beer buffs, you can taste test at any of our local craft and microbreweries. You will encounter a variety of tastes and experiences, from sipping sour beers at Rebel Kettle to Superior Bathhouse Brewery, which is the only brewery located inside a national park.
If you're looking for something a little harder, check out one of our Arkansas distilleries. The Arkansas craft spirits scene is quickly evolving, with local distillers concocting everything from award-winning bourbon to vodka and gin. Sample a wide range of varieties and learn how different processes, equipment and ingredients affect flavors. Be sure to buy a bottle or two of your favorite spirits and enjoy these handmade beverages at home.
