18th Annual Red River Heritage Symposium Teachers & Researchers Workshop

Historic Washington State Park

What to know

We are offering an all-day teacher and researcher workshop in conjunction with the 18th Annual Red River Heritage Symposium. This workshop will take place on Friday, July 26 with a morning program on Saturday, July 27. Lunch will be provided for both days. Saturday morning of the workshop will include a bus tour along the path of the “Southwest Trail” that led to the formation of Washington, sponsored by the Arkansas State Archives. Workshop presenters will include staff from Historic Washington State Park, Arkansas State Archives, and the Arkansas History Day program. Sessions will incorporate Washington, Arkansas, and 19th-century-related topics into curriculum standards for the classroom. We encourage workshop participants to also attend the symposium. Those attending both the workshops and symposium will receive a discounted price of $50. Pricing details are listed below. A total of twelve credit hours will be available for teachers to earn both days of the symposium. Please register at the park by calling (870) 983-2684.
