Backpacking Adventure Workshop - Part 2

Have you wanted to try backpacking, but don’t know where to start? Are you a veteran backpacker needing new ideas on techniques and equipment? Or are you interested in discovering how to overnight camp on a long, beautiful hiking trail? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Backpacking Adventure Workshop hosted by Devil’s Den State Park is the workshop for you! Join park staff and various outdoor enthusiasts for two weekends to prepare you for your backpacking adventures. The first weekend will introduce you to the world of backpacking and train you in all the different parts of backpacking safely while having fun. During the second weekend of the workshop, we, as a group, will hike and overnight on the park’s 15-mile Butterfield Backpacking Trail to give you the opportunity to test your newfound skills. The workshop fee covers both weekends and camping during the first weekend. Preregistration for the workshop is required. Sign up by calling the park at (479) 761-3325 by February 1, 2019.
