The 5-Stop Route That Had GoPro Hooked on Arkansas
Follow GoPro’s path through Hot Springs, Lake Ouachita and Pinnacle Mountain with an itinerary that captures the wild side of The Natural State.
When the GoPro team turned their lenses on Arkansas, they found the kind of terrain that turns a good trip into a great one. Think pine-lined singletrack, crystal-clear lakes, and small towns with big character. This five-day journey balances adrenaline with stillness and delivers something unexpected around every corner. Follow their route through Hot Springs and beyond with an itinerary built for pedaling, paddling and catching whatever adventure comes your way.
Stop 1: Ride Northwoods Trail
Kick off your adventure with the perfect blend of flow and forest at Northwoods Trail in Hot Springs. This purpose-built system offers more than 30 miles of singletrack winding through pine stands, bridges, rock gardens and smooth descents. With trails for every skill level, you can easily spend the whole day here chasing lines, gaining speed and soaking up the scenery. After the ride, cruise back into town for food, drinks and a well-earned rest. See how @madisonpitts captured Lucky 13.

Stop 2: Explore Bathhouse Row and Raise a Glass
Spend the morning exploring Hot Springs National Park, a one-of-a-kind blend of nature and history nestled right in the heart of downtown. Walk along Bathhouse Row, where beautifully preserved bathhouses line Central Avenue and showcase the city’s rich spa culture. Dip into a bit of wellness, tour the historic buildings or just enjoy the laid-back pace of the area. Then grab a seat at Superior Bathhouse Brewery for a hot meal and a cold pint made with real thermal spring water. It’s the only place in the world where you can do both in one stop.
Stop 3: Fish Lake Ouachita
Shift gears and head for the water at Lake Ouachita. Surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest, this massive reservoir feels both wild and peaceful. Spend the day fishing with a guide from Mountain Harbor Resort, swimming in the shallows or just drifting across quiet coves. The resort offers the perfect launch point for adventure, with boat rentals, fishing gear and easy access to the open water. Whether you're casting lines or capturing moments, the calm rhythm of the lake is a welcome contrast to the adrenaline of the trails. Watch @wadingwithwhitney catch a bass on Lake Ouachita.

Stop 4: Monument Trails at Pinnacle Mountain
Travel to Little Rock for a day of biking, hiking and lakeside views at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The Monument Trails here are fast, technical and beautifully designed, weaving through the landscape with just the right mix of challenge and fun. Climb to the summit for panoramic views or stick to the base and explore the lake by kayak or paddleboard. With water on one side and mountain peaks on the other, the whole area feels like a natural playground.

Where to Stay: In the Trees, Hot Springs
After long days spent on trails, in the water and under the sun, there’s no better place to rest than In the Trees. These modern treehouses are tucked into the forest canopy just outside Hot Springs, blending comfort with full immersion in nature. Watch the light filter through the branches, relax on your deck with a drink in hand or curl up inside with everything you need to wind down. It’s a peaceful end to an action-packed day, and a reminder that in Arkansas, even downtime feels like part of the adventure. @snow_sun_alyssa shows how to send it before soaking in the hot tub.
