Everyone knows how unpredictable Arkansas weather can be. If you’re looking for indoor Christmas fun for the family, then look no further than Little Rock’s Bass Pro Shop. The magic returns as Santa’s Wonderland is once again open and waiting for you.
There’s a boatload of activities scheduled to run from now through Dec. 24. You can get a free, professional quality 4 X 6 photograph taken with Santa, play in laser and soft gun arcades, watch miniature trains, drive slot cars and remote control trucks or take part in the kids craft area and activity tables.
A different craft is offered weekly so you can come often. Here’s the schedule.
- Nov. 16-23: Embellish a stuffed reindeer
- Nov. 24-30: Color a plaster ornament
- Dec. 1-7: Decorate a foam bird
- Dec. 8-14: Beautify a Santa bobber
- Dec. 15-21: Create a stick soldier ornament
- Dec. 22-24: Decorate a large, iced cookie
If your children are one of the first 125 to visit Santa’s Wonderland from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday, they will receive a free woodland character backpack clip. A different clip is available weekly so collect all seven.
The Little Rock Bass Pro Shop is located at 1 Bass Pro Drive off I-30 at exit 128. After a fun evening here, get your copy of the Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights brochure (you do have one, don’t you?) and head out to see the Christmas lights in Central Arkansas.
