Bubbles and the sugar plum fairy


From a nutcracker to bubbles galore, this month offers exciting performing arts opportunities for kids of all ages.

The Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart offers B: The Underwater Bubble Show on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The show is a unique experience with amazing sea creatures that take the audience into a dreamlike atmosphere, featuring lasers, snow blowers, a soap bubble tornado and other amazing visual effects, all combined with original music by Vladis Zilvers, the composer and conductor of the Latvian National Theater. The holidays just aren’t the holidays without The Nutcracker. The holiday fairy tale, adored by young and old alike, features the music of Tchaikovsky, beautiful costumes and stunning choreography. The Nutcracker tells the story of Clara, her Uncle Drosselmeyer, Clara’s magical nutcracker doll, the raucous mouse king and the beautiful sugar plum fairy. The Forum Theatre in Jonesboro offers The Nutcracker on Nov. 18-20. Tickets are $15-17 for adults and $8 for children.
