Caddo River Fest in Glenwood!

Looking for a festival to head to this spring? The Caddo River Fest takes place each spring in Glenwood. The festival, which takes place at downtown Broadway Street, includes live music, food, crafts, vendors, canoe races and more.

The Caddo River is a nice float stream for beginning canoeists with Class I and II rapids. Glenwood is located around 30 miles west of Hot Springs and is near the Caddo River in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains. The town is also near Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Mount Ida, Daisy State Park, and centrally located between three major lakes: Greeson, Ouachita, and DeGray.

The Caddo River begins in the Ouachita Mountains in southern Montgomery County and flows past the communities of Norman, Caddo Gap and Glenwood before being impounded to form DeGray Lake, home to Arkansas’s only resort state park.
