Destination Governor’s Conference: McNulty to Give Legislative Update
Montine McNulty is a long-time supporter and presenter at the Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism. For the 39th annual event, being held in Hot Springs on March 3-5, Montine will share her insights and happenings during the 89th Arkansas State Legislature General Assembly. She and Ted Mullenix will present a Legislative Update on Tuesday, March 5, at 1:45 p.m.

Montine has served as the executive director of the Arkansas Hospitality Association since 1996. She is known as a strong champion of the state’s restaurant, lodging and tourism industries, where she has worked on issues for more than two decades. A key part of her approach is to educate policymakers and the public about the industry’s role in creating jobs and driving economic development in the state. She has been active in a wide range of organizations at both the state and local level, including the Arkansas State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission, where she has served for 26 years, including two terms as chairman. In addition, she has had leadership roles with the Arkansas Society of Associate Executives and the Arkansas Tourism Development Foundation, among others. She is a past president of the Arkansas Society of Professional Lobbyists.

An Arkansas native who calls Pine Bluff home, McNulty has received numerous awards and honors for her efforts on behalf of the industry, including being named as one of the top 150 business people in the state by Arkansas Business Publishing Groups. She has also been named as the Arkansas Tourism Person of the Year by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
