Grassy Lake Water Trail

Looking for a place to paddle? The Grassy Lake Water Trail in the Bell Slough Wildlife Management Area just south of Mayflower is part of the Arkansas Water Trails system, an Arkansas Game & Fish Commission project at the forefront of creating a system of mapped water trails throughout the state.

According to copy from the Arkansas Game & Fish website, the cypress-tupelo lakes and sloughs here provide good opportunities to see wildlife. Keep an eye out for nesting herons in the spring, migrating songbirds, and other sights like beavers, bullfrogs, and water snakes.
