It’s the 4th annual Tomatoes at the Trotter on June 26 in Monticello
The University of Arkansas at Monticello School of Agriculture and the University of Arkansas Southeast Research and Extension Center hosts the 4th annual Tomatoes at the Trotter at the historic Trotter House in Monticello on June 26.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Trotter House Bed and Breakfast, located at 404 N. Main in Monticello, with an heirloom tomato tasting and rating of more than a dozen varieties. Chef Brian Cherry of the UAM Aramark Food Service will present an “all tomato” dinner prepared specially for the event. Zach Taylor with the Arkansas Agriculture Department, will discuss the growing popularity of local food sources, keys to successful farmers markets and how the department is helping local communities in Arkansas.


The cost is $25 per person, with all net proceeds going to the UAM School of Agriculture Scholarship Fund. For more information or to reserve tickets, phone 870-460-1091.
