It’s almost summer! It’s time to grab the kids and head outside for some fun in the sun. And these great events at our Arkansas State Parks are the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Moro Bay State Park in Jersey is the place for tons of fun during National Get Outdoors Day on June 11. National Get Outdoors Day offers opportunities for families to experience traditional and non-traditional types of outdoor activities. Moro Bay State Park will offer fun outdoor interpretive programs and activities for all ages.
Village Creek State Park in Wynne offers two Outdoor Adventure Day Camps this month. For youngsters ages 7-9, the camp is June 13-15; for ages 10-12, the dates are June 27-29. Each camp includes a variety of educational and recreational programs designed to get kids outside to discover the wonders of the natural world.
Lake Chicot State Park in Lake Village hosts the Delta Discovers Day Camp on June 13-17. The camp, open to those ages 7-14, features guided hikes, barge tours, recreational activities and nature crafts.
It’s Children’s Day Camp on June 22-24 at Parkin Archeological State Park in Parkin. This camp, for youngsters ages 8-12, includes activities at various attractions and state parks in the area. Activities include swimming, boating, fishing, games and crafts. The $75 fee covers all meals, snacks, admissions and equipment rentals for the three days.
