Events in Fayetteville
Cycling and mountain biking events are huge in Fayetteville. The Joe Martin Stage Race, one of the top professional and amateur road cycling stage races in the nation takes place annually. Cyclocross and mountain bike races and gravel grinder events are numerous as well.
Music has also long been a draw to Fayetteville. Live music events can be found everywhere from George’s Majestic Lounge on Dickson Street in the entertainment district to concert series on Mount Sequoyah to powerful performances by the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas.
The Fayetteville Farmer’s Market on the downtown square is a don’t miss, along with First Thursday, a weekly celebration of local arts culture, music, food and refreshments from spring to fall.
Other popular events include Fayetteville Yoga Fest, Chefs in the Garden at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, Artosphere Arts + Nature Festival, Square to Square Bike Ride, Fayetteville Jazz Festival, trail runs, marathons and more. During the holiday season there is a pop-up lounge and Lights of the Ozarks lighting ceremony and parade.
Theater events run the gamut from Broadway shows at the Walton Arts Center to an Arkansas New Play Festival.
