Mountain View Iris Festival

Arkansas' only iris festival will delight visitors as the iris bloom throughout the community. Events are free and fun for all ages. The Mountain View Iris Society will present an iris show and photography contest. The Carousel Organ Association of America will again be at the festival playing the "Happiest Music on Earth." Music will then be performed on the courthouse stage Friday evening at 7:00 a.m. Saturday evening the band will perform as visitors attend the ever-popular street dance. Please don't forget to bring your lawn chairs for events held at the courthouse. On Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. children paint iris on canvas at the courthouse with materials provided. A Corvette and Hot Rod Show will be held on the west side of the courthouse at 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. At the Mountain View Walking Trail Park an area is set up called the "Kid's Comfort Zone" with games and outdoor play for kids, while adults will be able to walk and enjoy garden art created by Mountain View Iris Festival Volunteers.
