“Spooktacular” Events You Don’t Want to Miss
Arkansas State Parks in the Arkansas Delta are gearing up for some “spooktacular” fun this October!
Head to the Delta Heritage Trail State Park near Helena-West Helena on Oct. 19 for Boofest! For the daring visitors, they offer a “haunted” cotton gin. Take a trek along the trail to discover some spooky creatures. It’s a safe, fun, family-friendly activity for the entire family. Admission to the cotton gin is $3 per person and games range from $0.25 to $0.50. Phone 870-572-2352 to learn more.
The “ghosts” and “goblins” come out to play during Cane Creek State Park’s annual Ghost Roast, being held Oct. 26 in Star City. The park offers hayrides, trick-or-treating, a “haunted” house, carnival games, food vendors, and costume contests. Stroll through the campgrounds, which are elaborately decorated for Halloween. Campers welcome trick-or-treaters, who are asked to vote for their favorite decorated campsites. Admission to Ghost Roast is $2 per car. Contact the park at 870-628-4714 for details.
Have a “bootiful” October!
