First Day 5K Fun Run/Walk/Hike

Kick off the new year the healthy way and join thousands across the nation who will be hitting the trails for First Day hikes, walks, jogs, rides, and runs! Join park staff and visitors at DeGray Lake Resort State Park for a fun 5K run/walk/hike along a mixed surface course split evenly between trail and road. For the goal-oriented folks out there, we issue the "2022 Challenge" - complete the course in under 20 minutes 22 seconds! Special brownie points, gold stars, and high fives will be awarded to any who succeed!

Enjoy beautiful views of nature in winter as you traverse two of the state park's five trails through mixed pine forest and along the shoreline of scenic DeGray Lake, one of Arkansas' five diamond lakes. After the race, gather with your friends and fellow runners/walker/hikers around a post-race campfire and enjoy some hot beverages and fellowship. Why not go ahead and make your New Year's resolution early by making plans to join the 2022 First Day 5K Fun Run/Walk/Hike and 2022 Challenge at DeGray Lake Resort State Park?
