What to know
This adventure program is for Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts. Stand up paddleboarding is one of the fastest growing recreational sports around. Arkansas is a natural fit for the sport with an abundance of clean, clear lakes and rivers around the state. Join a park interpreter for a quick crash course to get you standing on water in no time! This introductory level course is designed to introduce and expose participants to sufficient skills and knowledge to safely enjoy the sport of stand up paddleboarding in a calm, flat water setting. Paddleboards, paddles, leashes, and lifejackets are provided. Participants should come prepared to get wet and dress accordingly. Water shoes or sandals are recommended - no flip flops. Don't forget your water bottle and sunscreen! Please register for the program at GirlScoutsDiamonds.org/events by September 3, 2021.There will be a $15+tax fee per person, which you will pay on-site at the park at the start of the program.
